This includes your name, email address, phone number, property address, borough, photographs of water main or sewer conditions, uploaded DEP notices, information about tenants or businesses operating on the property, notice type (3-day, 10-day, cease and desist, or other), whether there is an active leak, whether the street or sidewalk is affected, preferred timeline, and any messages or notes you provide.
We also automatically collect limited technical information when you visit the site, including IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies for analytics and site performance.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
Purpose of Collection
We collect personal information to respond to your inquiry, review submitted DEP notices and property conditions, prepare repair scopes and estimates, coordinate permits and field work, communicate with you about active engagements, send compliance updates if you have opted in, maintain the security of our website, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable laws.

When you upload a DEP notice, photographs of water main or sewer conditions, or other property documents, you grant NYC Water Main Services a limited, non-exclusive license to use those materials for the purpose of reviewing the inquiry, scoping repair work, applying for permits, and communicating with city agencies on your behalf. We do not claim ownership of submitted documents. Uploaded materials are stored securely and are not shared outside the purposes described above without your written consent.
Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access information we hold about you, the right to request correction of inaccurate information, the right to request deletion of your information, the right to object to or restrict certain processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
